John Jr and Yuēhàn learned about the Causes The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria as the immediate cause of World War I, but the conflict had deeper origins. European expansionism, where nations controlled large amounts of land in empires around the world, was also a factor. The War started in 1914. The Battle of Verdun was a months-long, bloody clash between the French and German armies in 1916. It was the longest battle of the war and resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties. The Battles of the Isonzo were a series of 12 battles fought between the Italians and Austrians along the Italian Front from 1915 to1917. The armies were composed of Central Powers, which included Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire; and the Allies, which included France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, Japan and later, the United States. 3. John Jr and Yuēhàn learned that the US joined in on the war because of Germany's submarine attacks on passenger and merchant ships in 1917 which became the primary motivation behind Wilson's decision to enter the War. New military technologies and trench warfare resulted in unprecedented levels of destruction and carnage. The Allied Powers won the war, which was declared over in 1918. 4. John Jr and Yuēhàn realized that World War I had a profound impact on world history, including the fall of four great imperial dynasties, the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.

William and the Super Pomeranian Once upon a time, there was a little boy named William. William had a head full of soft, brunette hair and the brightest smile. He had a fluffy beige Pomeranian named Sunny who loved to play. One sunny morning, William and Sunny went into the garden to explore. William found a shiny rock that sparkled in the sunlight. "Wow, look at this, Sunny!" he giggled, showing the rock to his furry friend. Sunny wagged his tail and gave a playful bark, "Woof!" As William played with the rock, something magical happened. The rock began to glow, and Sunny's eyes sparkled with a mysterious light. Suddenly, Sunny felt a burst of energy and jumped high into the air! Sunny had turned into Super Sunny! He had a shiny cape and could fly! Just then, a gust of wind blew open the garden gate, and William's favorite toy, Mr. Bear, rolled into the street. "Oh no!" cried William. But Super Sunny was ready. With a swift swoop, he soared through the air and caught Mr. Bear just in time. He brought the toy back to William, who hugged Sunny tightly. "Thank you, Super Sunny!" said William, his eyes wide with wonder. The family came outside and cheered. "Hooray for Super Sunny!" they exclaimed. From that day on, Sunny knew he was always ready to help and protect his best friend, William. And every adventure they had together was full of magic and love. And so, William and Super Sunny lived happily ever after, discovering new wonders every day.
