Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Freddie who loved listening to stories about his Nanny. Even though Freddie never got to see her in person, he knew that Nanny was always looking out for him from up high in the sky. Nanny was a very special lady. She had a big, bright smile and a heart full of love. She lit up every room she entered, and everyone loved her because she was strong, brave, and always happy. Nanny loved her own son, your dad, with all her heart, and he always remembered her gentle hugs and fun laughter. Every night, Freddie would look out his window at the twinkling stars. “That star is Nanny,” he would whisper, imagining her smiling down at him. Haden Edwards received an empresario contract to settle 800 families near Nacogdoches. When he arrived with the families in the 1820s, he discovered people already lived there. They arrived long before Mexico gave him the grant. Edwards became very angry and tried to take over the town. The Mexican government did not support Edwards. Instead, they annulled his contract. Edwards stayed in the area and attempted to start a rebellion. On December 21, 1826, Edwards and his supporters claimed part of East Texas free and independent of Mexico. They named it the Republic of Fredonia. They even had support of the Cherokee in the area. However, most Anglo settlers in Texas did not support Haden’s rebellion. When a group of men from Austin’s colony joined with Mexican soldiers to march on Fredonia, Haden and his brother fled to the United States. The unrest caused Mexican leaders to rethink their immigration policies.

Rainbow learned an important lesson on his journey. Being different was a gift, not a burden. He understood that true friends accept you for who you are. Rainbow's heart was full of happiness and love. He promised to always help others find their place. The forest was now his home, and he was never alone. Rainbow's story spread far and wide, inspiring others to embrace their uniqueness. And so, the Multicolored Raven lived happily ever after.
