World Standards Day (or International Standards Day) is an international day celebrated on 14 October each year.[1] The day honours the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),[2] International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The aim of World Standards Day is to raise awareness among regulators, industry and consumers as to the importance of standardization to the global economy. Ben is Sarah's father. She saw one day that the lack of toys and enjoyable play areas was making the kids in the community unhappy. Slide 2: What if we start a store selling toys? The King was asked by Serena. "The store could offer distinctive toys that make the kids happy." Her suggestion impressed the King, who fully supported it. Serena got to work making plans. Slide 3: Aqma, a talented village lad, was recruited by Serena to assist her in making toys for the store. Aqma produced wheeled toys, wooden dolls, and kites. But even with their best attempts, Serena sensed that something unique was still lacking. Slide 4: A woman wizard materialised in the forest close to the kingdom just as they were ready to give up. It stated, "I can magically bring toys to life, but I'm afraid people will push me away." Slide 5: "If you assist us, I'll make sure you're welcomed in this kingdom," Serena stated with a smile. They started making wonderful toys that could move, like dancing dolls and galloping wooden horses, with the witch's assistance. Slide 6:The store was an immediate success. The enchanted toys attracted children from all over the realm. The youngsters who had before been depressed were now joyful and laughing. Slide 7: Serena made the King proud. "You have taught us to accept diversity and brought joy to this kingdom," he remarked. Since then, Serena, Aqma, and the wizard have been inventing magical toys, which has made Luminara a happy and delightful place for everyone.

Page 3 The four arrived at Old Walled Village and saw the tall walls and narrow gate. Jun Jie observed closely, saying, “The design here is so interesting; it must have been great for keeping pirates away!” Page 4 Xiao Ling exclaimed, “Look at the steps in front of the gate! This design makes it hard for enemies to attack!” Everyone nodded, impressed by the wisdom of the ancients. Page 5 Next, they visited the Tin Hau Temple. Wen Yu pointed at the statue and said, “This is Tin Hau, who protects us. She has the Eye and Ear of Heaven beside her!” Page 6 In the temple, Yao Yao discovered two ancient bronze bells and thought, “These bells must have been rung by villagers praying for safety.” They all felt the sacred atmosphere of the temple. Page 7 Finally, they arrived at the Song Ling Tang Temple. Wen Yu said, “This is built to honor our ancestor, Deng Song Ling. What a place full of stories!” They quietly felt the weight of history. Page 8 On their way home, the four friends shared their discoveries and felt a deep respect for Lung Yue Tau. They promised to return next time and explore more secrets!

His slow and steady friend the snail, tired of hearing him brag, challenged him to a race. “Ha,” the beetle thought to himself, “there is no way a snail could ever win against me.” On the day of the race, all of the insects in the park gathered to watch. The centipede waved a checkered flag to start the race. The beetle zoomed past the starting line as fast as he could, while the snail carefully inched herself forward bit by bit. The beetle cried out “You will never win this race at that slow, slow pace.” Out of breath from running, the beetle eventually reached a small pond of water. He thought, “I have plenty of time. I just will go around the pond.” The beetle sped off on his way. Inch by inch the snail crawled along the path. As she reached the pond, she thought, “It would be much shorter if I could somehow float across the water.” Perhaps I could build a boat. The snail gathered up some leaves, twigs and vine. She fashioned a small boat that helped her glide smoothly across the water of the pond. When she got to the other side, she hopped off the boat and could see all of her friends waiting for her at the finish line. Little by little the snail crept along the path until she crossed the finish line at long last. All of her friends cheered. “Hooray for snail!” they cried. A moment later the beetle came running across the finish line. “I can’t believe you beat me!” he said. “You know,” the snail replied with a smile, “being the fastest isn’t always everything”. “Sometimes if you just slow down for a moment and think about your challenge, you can come up with great solutions.”
